The Healthipet Network was founded to assist avian and exotic animal shelters and rescues in placing displaced companions in forever loving homes outside of their area or home state.
It utilizes volunteers to perform home inspections prior to placement. We operate as a federally approved 501(c)3 NON-PROFIT organization and funding comes from donations, grants, adoption fees, and membership dues. We also operate a rescue at our home office as a federally approved 501(c)3 NON-PROFIT NO KILL shelter.
We hope to broaden the reach of the network to include the entire United States. We intend to utilize state representatives in close contact with the Network to effectively and efficiently handle all issues and ensure the best outcome for the placements.

Our rescue/sanctuary was opened September 1, 2008; we are a small rescue and our main goal is to help any exotic birds that are in need. Our efforts to help exotic birds continues to advance. The bird pictured above is one of our resident birds named Rocky who has been deemed unadoptable. This picture is of him on his first day here outside in our ourdoor aviary enjoying some time in the fresh air. To learn more about Rocky you can read his story on our sponsor page.
Our programs consist of adoption, bird transport, educational classes and seminars. Our main office is located in Anderson, Indiana and we also recently opened a branch office in upstate NY. In addition, hope to be opening other branches throughout the US. If you would like to learn more about our organization please visit our main office website at www.healthipet.webs.com
Healthipet-NJ could use your support and help in any of the following ways. We rely on funding and donations from outside sources to help with our efforts. Donations can be in the form of cash, checks, money orders or via PayPal. Other types of donations can be physical such as supplies, bird food and treats, cages, perches, swings, toys and toy parts. As you know, all birds need to be kept busy so what better way to help keep them busy but with TOYS!!!!!! We currently make all our own toys, therefore, any donations of toy parts would be appreciated. In addition, we appreciate donations of medical and first-aid supplies, old towels, newspapers, cleaning supplies, office supplies, pet carriers and old sheets to be used as covers for cages.
Could you please find a way to help us an the birds? We appreciate anything you can donate.
